Based on the prompt of creating a vertical A3 poster for an imaginary animation movie, using Brazilian culture elements, I created “The Light of the Forest” (“A Luz da Floresta” in the original version). I was mainly inspired by the indigenous myth of Anhangá, a powerful forest protector spirit that can assume the shape of a white deer. The protagonist’s design, the girl in the poster, was inspired by the outfits and body paints of brazilian native women and, in the story, she would interact with the mythological creature.
